Hand Appliqué'

Pat's specialty is stress-free
needle turn appliqué. She will
put you directly in touch with
your needle, thread, and
fabric. Pat will show how
incredibly easy appliqué is
without the use of freezer
paper, toothpicks, starch,
cardboard, ironing, or
interfacing -- all things that
needlessly complicate what
is otherwise a very simple
process. You will be taught
the back basting method
which you will just love!

Cutting Basics

Class Fee $10
This class is designed for
everyone to learn how to
use a rotary cutter to cut
their fabrics with more
confidence, learning some
new techniques in how to
cut straight, what all those
line are on your ruler. We
will also spend some time
learning how to sew with
an accurate ¼” seam. This
is a great beginner’s class
to get you started on the
journey of quilt making.
We will also talk about
fabric quality and straight
of the grain. You will
receive a 15% discount on
kits for class.

Quilt Lovers' Hangout wants to celebrate
being it's September and National Sewing
Month . What better way of doing this then
sharing our sewing skills with others. We
hope you’ll join us for a day of sewing for
others with our Make2/Give2 project. .
Make2/Give2 is designed to give Tote bags
made of pink fabric donated by the "Hangout'
The tote will be given to woman going
through treatment for breast cancer. 400
totes have already been made an handed out.
We just got a call the other day and more are
needed .So if you have the time please come
by the shop and help with this great cause
There will be snacks and prizes all day.
